Quality Assurance is a state required training program for any 4-H or FFA member who is planning to exhibit market livestock at the 2015 junior fair (excluding rabbits). The Ohio State University Extension is hosting the first QA in 2015 at the Van Wert County Fairgrounds on Sunday March 1, SUNDAY, MARCH 8, starting at 2:00pm until approximately 4:00pm. The gate on Washington Street will be closed and members will be asked to enter at the gate off of Balyeat Ave. Members must register at the Jr. Fair Building upon arrival the day of the event.
At this recertification class you will also receive training to obtain your Ohio Ag Fertilizer Applicator Certification. Only Farmers who HAVE an Ohio Pesticide License can receive their Ohio Ag Fertilizer Applicator Certification at this training class. The training class will be in the afternoon session with the Ohio Ag Fertilizer Applicator Certification 1:00 - 3:00 . Pesticide Re-cert from 9:00- 12:00.
Celebrating the significant accomplishments and deep impact that OSU Extension has had on communities and in the lives of Ohioans provides a great springboard for the future. A significant component of Ohio’s celebration in 2014 will be a year-long process focused on our future. The primary work this year will center on futuring – asking questions about and envisioning the long-term future of OSU Extension as well as the role the organization should play in shaping and positively impacting Ohio and Ohio residents.
